The end of a long road

Nikon D40, Nikon 18-55mm, 1/320 sec, f/9, ISO 200

I have been saving this picture to share tonight. My grandfather, Ed Hansen, passed away a little before 6:00 this evening. He was 94 years old and had been alone for the past four years, since my grandmother passed away. "Grandpa Bucken", as we called him, has been suffering from Alzheimer's Disease for the past couple of years. He had been at Alta Ridge Alzheimer's Care Center for the past month or so. If you ever need to recommend a care center that specializes in Alzheimer's care, this is definitely a place to consider.

Easy does 'er, there mate.

Nikon D40, f/5.6, 1/200 sec, ISO-800, 95mm.
This is a street peformer I saw in San Diego, California. He did the whole daring street perfomer gamut- fire eating, bed of nails and sword swallowing. Really cool, in a freakish sort of way.

And remember- "Don't try this at home kids". It is always best to go where there is a big crowd so you can make lots of cash, and there is someone on hand to call the paramedics.
