The Pitchfork

Nikon D40, Nikon 18-55mm, 1/100 sec, f/5.6, ISO 200

We just returned from our trip to Alaska. This is a waterfall called The Pitchfork, north of Skagway on the road to Whitehorse, Yukon. At 60 degrees north, fall arrives early. They say that Alaska has two seasons; winter and July.

Dang. I need a vacation. You should check out my folks' blog. they just got back from a place called Lopez Island, which is a favorite vacation spot from my childhood....I was already feeling jealous. Now I see this beautiful waterfall picture. Dang. Who wants to watch 3 wonderfully rambunctious children for a week? anyone, anyone? Bueller...Bueller?
